Overview of Project and additional research Collection

To begin this semester, I want to outline my aims and goals for this semester that had been set within the pre-production module. 
My initial goals can be found in more details below in my formative presentation. However for the sake of clarity: I wanted to produce from 60-90 seconds of fluid 2D animation built off my pre-production work. This would be accompanied with a score that would be outsourced with additional sound design.

To begin this semester it would important to get a good body of references to work from when producing my work. Most of the research was carried over from semester 1, however, I did some additional research for more specific parts of the animation. This research will hopefully inform my decision making when creating my final animation.

Conclusion and Critical Evaluation

Were my practices appropriate and relevant to the Industry? As Mentioned previously, all the tools and methods employed, are all used in the current industry. While I didn't necessarily use all the most mainstream tools, and the tools were cross-compatible, so my skill-sets would be to. How could I work differently in the future? I believe that in order to become more efficient in my work in the future, will come in the form of my own knowledge and confidence in the subject matters at hand. I want to take the knowledge that I have taken from this course, and further them in the coming weeks and months so that I am as prepared to enter the industry as possible.  One aspect that I could improve on is my critical analysis and research of my production, specifically when it comes to animation and editing techniques. Week 12

The majority of this week was spent painting and adding backgrounds to around half of the animation sequences, in addition to the shading. This actually took less time than I anticipated. That being said it still took a long time overall. For the backgrounds I used Worcester as inspiration, I went to the city centre and took a bunch of reference photos from which to create under-painting for, I also made sure to make the colour palette of the city far more purple to make the aesthetic that was designed during pre-production. In total I there was 28 different backgrounds painted.  Below are the segments of animation composited with the background.
