Conclusion and Critical Evaluation

Image
Were my practices appropriate and relevant to the Industry? As Mentioned previously, all the tools and methods employed, are all used in the current industry. While I didn't necessarily use all the most mainstream tools, and the tools were cross-compatible, so my skill-sets would be to. How could I work differently in the future? I believe that in order to become more efficient in my work in the future, will come in the form of my own knowledge and confidence in the subject matters at hand. I want to take the knowledge that I have taken from this course, and further them in the coming weeks and months so that I am as prepared to enter the industry as possible.  One aspect that I could improve on is my critical analysis and research of my production, specifically when it comes to animation and editing techniques. While my knowledge in form, and anatomy and the principles of animation are apparent, it was the editing, and knowledge of programs capabilities that truly hel...

Relevence to the Industry and Technical Approaches

Disclaimer: Much of this was taken from the pre-production blog, found her, however, it has also been expanded upon with critical reflection.  I felt that it was important to reflect on my work, as well as take a look back at the studios and work that inspired me to create my animation, and see the relevance of my work to the industry that I am building a body of work to present to potential employers post-university. They first came to my attention while watching the animated series The Legend of Korra. The visual style was incredibly appealing to me. the character had such an ability to leave an impression upon me. As such, I was captiva...

Week 14 - FINAL ANIMATION

Image
I began by creating a very quick cut together of my animated scenes, now with shading and backgrounds. This was more of final proof of concept, rather than a final cut, as there was not sound design or edits. For this initial test, Movie maker was used. While this is a software not used in the industry, it was done to save on time, and just to gather proof of concept, rather than create a professional final edit. The Final animation will be cut together in ADOBE PREMIER PRO. FINAL CUT V1.1 -Colour and Backgrounds added -Score Needs to be added -Cuts need to be tighter Total Run time: 84 seconds The next cut, while still no sound design, contained a series of tighter cuts. This made the flow and continuity of the animation much better. Once the cuts were at a place I was happy with, I began work on the score and sound design.  This was the first test of the tighter cut. While I was happy with the cut, I exported the video in the incorrect CODAC, so the as...
